Disciples Of Christ Ministries

Over a decade of touring nationally and world wide, Disciples Of Christ remains one of the most sought after groups in Contemporary Christian Music. Thirteen years of spiritual and ar­tistic consistency has nurtured in Disciples of Christ a desire to meet the need cross­-culturally, as positive role models. The current effort merges maturity with their music in ministry. Ministers Alton Hood and David Brooks, with their team, agree that this season is the one in which D.O.C has truly come of age.

Past achievements include a distinguished discography of three best selling albums. They are also recipients of numerous Dove Award nominations and voted among the top three Rap/R&B groups by CCM's reader poll for four consecutive years. Finally, a Grammy nomination came in 1993 for (Pulling No Punches). This project coupled them with the legendary Bootsy Collins.

Shortly after graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center, the duo took a brief hiatus from the road to serve as youth Pastors in the local church. While serving faithfully, once again an alarming urgency began to tug at their hearts to reach the nations of the world with the Rapusical.

The Rapusical is a powerful tool in creative evangelism. Targeted at a sight and sound genera­tion, it becomes a window to a world within a world.  Its purpose is to show everyday life and its influence by the spiritual forces in the unseen realm, while presenting the things of God, in a way that is attainable, tangible, and culturally relevant.  Merging the truth of Gods word with poetry, hip hop, dance, drama and mime, this explosive musical adventure will spark a generation and shake a culture. Also, joining D.O.C. at the creative round table is Rev. Joe Harrison. Minister Harrison brings twenty years of ministry experience and theatrical expertise to the live pro­duction of the Rapusical.
